Frequently Asked Questions

Thinking about booking a stay at Poundfield Cottages? Our FAQ page covers everything you might want to know before you do. It’s a great place to get a feel for how things work and what to expect when you arrive. And if there’s something we haven’t covered, just get in touch. We’re always happy to help and make sure you have everything you need to plan your visit.

  • How do I book my stay?

You can book directly through our website. Once you’ve chosen your dates, a small booking deposit is due within two days to secure your stay. The balance is then due four weeks before your arrival. If you’re booking a last-minute break (within four weeks), we’ll just take full payment upfront. Once everything’s confirmed, you can start counting down the days to Camber!

  • What if I need to cancel?

We completely understand that plans sometimes change. If you need to cancel, just drop us an email or written note as soon as you can. We’ll always do our best to re-let the cottage and if we’re successful, we’ll happily refund your payment (less a small admin fee). If you cancel more than four weeks before your stay, you’ll forfeit your deposit unless the cottage is re-booked.

  • When can we check in and out?

Check-in is from 4:00pm, and check-out is by 10:00am. This gives us time to prepare for the next guests.

  • How do we get the keys?

Once your booking is fully paid, we’ll send you a handy arrival guide with all the details, including how to collect your keys and find your cottage.

  • Can we bring our dog?

Yes, well-behaved dogs are very welcome (just let us know when booking). Please keep them off the beds and furniture, never leave them alone in the cottage, and bring their favourite bed or blanket.

  • Do we need to clean before leaving?

Nothing major, just leave things tidy and respectful, as you found them. Pop rubbish and recycling in the bins, wash up, and we’ll take care of the rest.

  • Are your cottages family-friendly?

Yes, families love staying here! Just please make sure children are supervised, especially outside or near any equipment.

We have the shared garden out the front of the cottages or a 1 acre field behind the cottages that children can play in.
